Check out OddWadd
Pierce P. recently launched the site for OddWadd Machnima Studios. OddWadd is responsible for the spectacular machinima short "Game Over" and hopefully many more in the future.
You can check out Pierce's blog Pierce P. Machinima Guru or watch more of his videos on YouTube.
Game Over
"Game Over" is the first true OddWadd short film. It is dedicated to Jerry Paffendorf, Eric Gruber, and Jodie Niss who all helped inspire its creation. At 24 FPS, it is a tale of full laughter, love and loss all told in a rather odd way.The film has been entered into the 2006 Machinima Film Festival taking place in Astoria, NY on the Nov. 5 and 6. After three years of creating films in Second Life, this piece really shows off all the techniques which make this virtual world such an exciting medium in which to create machinima. I hope you enjoy the film.
About OddWadd
No commentsThe purpose of OddWadd is to create and distribute machinima filmed inside of the virtual world known as Second Life. Its goal is to present people with an affordable and reliable means of visually recording their “Second Life”. Also, OddWadd exists to provide machinima entertainment for the residents of Second Life by using the space and the freedom it grants as a means of pushing the boundaries of visual storytelling. Finally, OddWadd sells its synthespians as unique avatars for residents of Second Life who are a little odd and at the same time demonstrate their continued support of OddWadd Machinima.

No commentsSecond Life: Web 2.0?
Gwyn does it again in her post “Second Life is Web 2.0 more than anything else”, says Castronova.
Who is this Castronova guy? I don't know, but what Gwyn says is more interesting than him anyway.

Gwyneth Lillwelyn digs deep into the core of Second Life culture and what really makes it tick in her blog entry The Big Controversies in Second Life. Yea, so just read it.
libsecondlife has a new website!
Yes It's true what the title says. libsecondlife does indeed have a new website. Check it out at http://www.libsecondlife.org/. The SL Protocol wiki has become the libsecondlife and Second Life protocol documentation wiki. I'm just gonna call it the libSL wiki. OH YEA! You can find it at http://www.libsecondlife.org/protocol/
I am responsible for the site layout, so if you see any funky display problems you can let me know. Please pardon the sparse content at the moment, we'll be updating the site quite a bit in the next week or so.
For those of you who have no clue what the hell I'm talking about, libsecondlife is open source reimplementation of the Second Life networking protocol. This means it's fully independent from the official client, and it can construct and interpret any packet the official client can.
libsecondlife is not a Second Life client, but it can be used to create a Second Life client. libsecondlife is a library of functions that help a programmer connect their program to Second Life.
libsecondlife originally used the Boost C++ libraries, but recent development has focused on the C# version. C# offers greater cross platform compatibility through the use of .Net and Mono. Though .Net is only available for Windows, we strive to maintain Mono support in the core library. This means that libsecondlife is compatible with almost any system that is supported by Mono.
